Welcome to our new summer camp, Athletic Businessmen, where we combine sports and business for an unforgettable summer experience! Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, and led by Jadon Johnson, our camp offers a unique opportunity for kids to learn valuable skills while having fun. Through intense competition and interactive business activities, campers will strengthen their athletic skills while learning teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Values that are useful in both business and sports.

Our CAMP ACTIVITIES

SPORTS TRAINING & COMPETITIONS

Campers will participate in daily sports training focused on building athletic skills. They’ll develop teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit through friendly yet challenging games and tournaments.

BUSINESS CHALLENGES & WORKSHOPS

Through interactive business workshops, campers will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business, including creative thinking, leadership, and financial literacy. They’ll work in teams to create business plans, pitch ideas, and participate in unique business competitions to apply what they’ve learned.

FUN & GAMES

Alongside structured activities, we’ll keep the fun going with card games, sports challenges, and video gaming sessions for relaxation. This balance of work and play ensures that every camper has a blast while learning valuable skills that will last a lifetime.

Hey there, my name is Jadon Johnson, and I'm the founder and coach of Athletic Businessmen. I was born in New Orleans and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and I’ve always had a passion for sports and entrepreneurship. I started my first business at just 14, driven to learn how to turn ideas into action and create something meaningful. Since then, I’ve worked hard to strengthen my athletic and business leadership skills.

 FAQs

  • Athletic Businessmen is a summer camp that combines sports training and business education to teach young athletes how to succeed both in sports and in business. Our goal is to develop leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking through a mix of competitive sports and business challenges.

  • The camp will be held at the UL Recreation Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. The address is 225 Cajundome Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70506.

  • Camp session dates are June 23rd, June 30th, July 14th, July 21st, August 4th, August 11th, and last from 9 am - 3 pm at the UL Recreation Center in Lafayette, LA.

  • Athletic Businessmen is currently open to boys aged 6 to 12, providing them with an exceptional opportunity to develop their athletic and business skills in a nurturing environment.

  • Jadon Johnson, the founder of Athletic Businessmen and an accomplished entrepreneur from Lafayette, Louisiana, will lead the camp alongside Mrs. Bertha Hebert, an experienced sports program (CAYSI) director with extensive experience in youth sports and leadership development. Together, they embody the camp's vision of merging athletic training with business acumen, offering young athletes invaluable insights into sports, business, and life. Jadon’s innovative approach to sports and entrepreneurship, paired with Bertha’s proven track record, ensures participants receive top-notch guidance as they train like athletes and cultivate a CEO mindset.

  • The registration fee to participate in each individual camp session is set at $50, providing an affordable opportunity for young athletes to engage in our unique program.

  • The fee covers:

    ✔️ Sports training, business workshops, and guest speakers

    ✔️ Supplies

    ✔️ T-shirts

    ✔️ Lunch

    ✔️ Gym rental

  • Yes. Get 10% off when you register more than one child with the code REGISTER10.

  • You can register online through our official website or by contacting us directly.

  • Campers should bring:

    ✔️ Sports-appropriate clothing and shoes

    ✔️ A backpack

    ✔️ A water bottle

    ✔️ Any necessary medications or personal items

    And most importantly, an open mind!

  • Yes. Campers should NOT bring:

    ❌ Unnecessary Electronics (besides phones, just in case of emergency)

    ❌ Valuables or large amounts of cash

    ❌ Dangerous or inappropriate items
